vintage bridals

the morning we shot these bridals (december), there was a particularly icy chill in the air.

i felt bad all bundled up while she had nothing on but that dreamy vintage dress.

paige was a delight to shoot. i love her dress and accessories....and her dress:) she did my hair for the wedding and made me feel like a champ. she has amazing personal style and is quite talented.

a fitness shoot!

meet jessica: this hot thang is....well, fit! she works hard and loves to share her knowledge with others. jessica trains and motivates individuals to work towards their personal best while teaching commitment to fitness. this year, she is preparing to compete in a fitness competition in the spring! jess is available to train in the sacramento area, the bay area and the central coast.

on the day of this session, the sky opened up and gave us some serious rain. these two were such troopers and dealt with my usual shenanigans. between keeping equiptment dry, unbrellas blowing away and potholes everywhere.....there was lots of laughing.

i'm glad we made it work.....i loved this location with the gloomy sky.

the problem with a tiny baby is they make you want one.

this sweet boy was a mellow trooper and just hung out while i stuck my big camera in his face.

winter wedding shoot

this year, i am taking on more weddings! i've been shooting them here and there over the past few years, with my focus always on family photography. this year, my wedding services are open to the public-ish. in the past, it has been on a very case by case basis. i'm still looking for that awesome client/photographer chemistry (so important!), but allowing more time for weddings. i'm extremely excited about the 2012 couples i have lined up (more spots to fill!). i couldn't really contain my love for photographing couples much longer.

when i went through the wedding process myself, i quickly learned how important it was to have efficient, passionate and talented vendors around me. naturally, when i decided to sign on for shooting more weddings, i thought of that awesome team......many of which i'm now friends with. if you're looking for a fool proof day filled with a talented crew, i know just the bunch. at the bottom of this post you can see info for this shoot. also, you can find a full list of the TJP {DREAM TEAM} on the wedding portion of my site....coming very soon!

they are so special.

i shoot a lot of mother-daughter sessions and the love is always so blatantly, obviously, ridiculously unconditional.

growing up, i know we drove (and still do) my mother nuts. i think she knew she couldn't stop loving us even if she tried. every child adds an incredible amount of worry and stress to a mother's life. word on the street is the overwhelming amount of love and joy exceeds the negative. i see this in my sessions. it's amazing to watch.
