deee-licious

remember the lovely couple from my last post? well, she had a wedding shower last week...and my mouth is still watering from the goodness that was consumed that evening. usually i post pictures of food i make, but in this case, i'm afraid i can't take the credit. i did the flowers, rolled some things in chocolate, and attempted about 40% of the beignets (which, btw, ended up being warm, delicious treats of chocolatey goodness...and unfortunately aren't pictured)...however, the rest is courtesy of the bride's sisters/dream team.

everything was so scrumptious and sooo beautiful. chocolate. cheese. wine. need i say more?

warning: if viewing while hungry (or not), you may become seriously frustrated.

loved the poms!

are you dying of cravings yet?!

ps- i've been into making gift bags lately. and by "making" i mean gluing a few things here and there then tying my favorite ribbon and name cards on them. no need to buy the expensive, fancy gift bags...these are seriously like 50 cents...and they're personal (and i needed to start using more of my flowers...ya know, the ones that didn't get used from that big project i was going to complete last year...whoops).

pss-i'm heading to vegas with some of my best friends to celebrate my quarter life crisis. i won't be in on friday, but i'll get back to you monday...asap. happy weekend!

A nerdy good time.

Yesterday was fantabulous awesomeness. I got to hang out with Aaron and his team as they presented their year long hard work. Let me tell you...it was IMPRESSIVE. I knew they were all crazy, mad scientists who don't sleep and live for programming, wires and God knows what else...but sheesh. Kudos to them.

I won't explain the whole shebang, but here's a little background. He's in a year long design course at Stanford (as part of his mechanical engineering masters program) in which they're backed by a corporate sponsor (Audi) that they create a product for. His team consists of 3 other ME Stanford students and 4 Finnish students. They're all rad and ridiculously talented.

The booth was a huge hit. Who would've thought engineering fairs could be fun? Congrats team Audi.

Aaron showing someone how to use their sweet wheel.
